My Dad turns 51

My dad turns 51 today. Here are pictures of him showing off the gift I gave him. It's a bling with a cross that spins!! He once asked me how should he wear it. I told him to just be himself & that he's the only dad I know who is cool enough to wear it.

Mikayla Yee

I have plenty to write on HUGE 2007. my videography assignment in JB, & our TOUCH Christmas production... But none of that can beat this latest craze...

Mikayla Yee was born to Lemuel & Melanie Yee on December 21st, 2007. May and I were there an hour after her birth, and I must say that it's a privilege to know someone ever since their first day on Planet Earth. It's REALLY REALLY COOL.

Don't know the hospital don't allow videography, but we managed to capture a few precious moments on my video camera (I asked Lemuel if he wants to do a reality show on Mikayla, but there's no answer yet). I would have edited and uploaded the video if I weren't so busy (practicing DOTA). But you can view some videos at the grandpa's website - http://www.thamwan.org/.

All HUGE 2007 Videos

Alright, guys. Here are all the HUGE videos that were shown during the camp itself. Come February there will be more coming up. So stay tune to this blog =)

Back & Gone Again

I've just came back from Taiping about 5 hours ago. HUGE camp 2007 was wonderful. There were some things that I wished would have been different, but I'm glad to say that I was blessed indeed. I'm very excited about writing on my experiences in HUGE here, but time doesn't permit. I will be on another bus in about 9 hours' time, this time the destination is Johor Bahru. Hopefully I'll have some time alone to pen (type) my thoughts down during my 4 days' stay down south. In the meantime, you can check out the videos below.

Gosh I'm missing TOUCH already...

Cell Potluck

Our cell group had a potluck gathering at my place last Friday. Our teenage members brought their friends over for food & games. Maybe it was awkward at first but later everyone was at ease. The "ha" & "what" game certainly broke the ice. I believe that our 21st Christmas party will be a greater success, now that our friends are familiar & comfortable with us.

And it was a really nice feeling for me, a 23-year-old. Somehow, in spite of the age gap (it's not that big), we could connect with one another. I didn't feel too old in their presence & they didn't feel too young or small to communicate with me. And in a small but significant way, that night comfirmed my ministry to the young people.

Joy of Christmas: Log 1

It feels like it's been a long time since TOUCH has attempted a skit. We're making a comeback this year, and I see that we're breaking new grounds. This time around Ken Chung is leading a team of 7 writers to produce a story of 3 friends, who seemed to have forgotten the true meaning & joy of Christmas. I'm helping out with the script, the videos & will oversee the practices, supporting Ken Chung in his first attempt at directing. May on other hand will be helping Jacklyn with props. But more significantly, she'll be assisting Rachel in creating a whole new element to our skit. It's exciting, nerve-wrecking & worrying at the same time, but we believe it's a risk worth taking.

Most of the script has been concluded (just a few hours ago), and tomorrow we'll be having our first practice. It'll be interesting to work with the 3 main character, all of whom will be performing a lead role for the very first time. Can't wait.

The Piano & I

Last Saturday I fulfilled 1 of my tiny dreams of playing the piano & singing for a wedding ceremony. It's so interesting how God remembers the little things we ask, things that 'age' and 'maturity' brushed aside as insignificant & unnecessary. Well now I'm beginning to see this Dream-Giver also as the Dream-Fulfiller. And being that loving Father that He is, He rejoices to see us trusting in His beautiful timing & miraculous ways of making our dreams come true. I love how He remembers our dreams & our desires.

2 calls came in recently. 1 call was from YAM asking me to create their HUGE camp session videos yet again (view an example here). It was rather late, but nice nonetheless. I think YAM has a vision & direction for the youths of Malaysia, so it's a joy to serve them in that manner. The other call, that came in only today, was a very significant one. I can't say much about this yet, but it's pretty massive & I'm really excited about the project. I'm confident that I'll do well & impress. Hopefully I'll impress enough to be participanting in this project for the long term. But in the meantime, I'm just enjoying God's favour upon my life & will continue to trust that He really likes me & wants to make my every dream come true.
